First Presbyterian Academy Announces New Head of School
First Presbyterian Academy is proud to announce that the school board has hired Dr. Rob Brown for the position of Head of School at First Presbyterian Academy. Dr. Brown comes to our school with over 20 years of experience in education. Dr. Brown is a native of the Upstate and received his bachelor’s degree from Erskine College. He then went on to do his graduate work at Columbia International University where he received his PhD in School Leadership. He is also recognized as a regional leader in Christian education and currently serves on the ACSI Southeast Accreditation Commission. We are very excited for Dr. Brown to assume this leadership position for our school, and pray that the Lord guides and directs him as he begins this journey at FPA.
Dr. John Furrow will continue to lead First Pres Academy as Interim Head of School, until such time that Dr. Brown officially assumes the HOS role. Dr. Brown will step into the role as Head of School on June 1, 2024.
Art That Heals | Partnering with the Neighborhood Cancer Center
We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with the Neighborhood Cancer Center in Greenville! Our students have created a special collection of uplifting artwork now on display at NCC — each piece designed to bring light, hope, and encouragement to patients and families walking through cancer.
At FPA, we believe creativity is one of God’s gifts — a way to share His love and joy with others. Through this ongoing partnership, our students will continue to contribute new artwork twice a year, helping to brighten the halls and hearts of the NCC community.
We’re grateful for the incredible work NCC does to provide compassionate care and a supportive community for those in need.Stop by the Neighborhood Cancer Center to see the student display at 113 Mills Avenue in Greenville and learn more about their mission of hope at their website, nccgreenville.org.
