9th - 12th Grade Students
The goal of the Crusader Barbell Club is to introduce weight training to 9th -12th grade students who may not play a team sport and to athletes seeking to increase strength. We provide instruction on safely and efficiently performing lifts such as the deadlift, squat, bench press and overhead press, as well as accessory lifts and bodyweight exercises. Students will also receive coaching on technical lifts, such as the snatch and the clean and jerk, where appropriate. The club will help students create their own programming, with the long-term goal of a lifetime of self-directed weight training. The club will meet in the Weight Room after school on Mondays and Wednesdays.
