To celebrate Read Across America Day, the Lower School had a "reading pep rally" where Dr. Graham led the students in a reading cheer, read several of her favorite books aloud to the students and then introduced a Lower school-wide Reading Challenge for the month of March.  Students also enjoyed a "stop and read" time, where every classroom stopped and took time to read silently, aloud, or meet up with their book buddies to read together.  There was also a teacher swap where some teachers arranged to read to another class while someone else read to their class.  Related Arts teachers even took time to read subject-related books to their students during the event.
