icons 02

5th Grade students dug deeper into their Social Studies unit on the world post- WW1, by learning about icons from the 1920s. Each student picked one icon to study and research for an informational essay that discussed his or her life and legacy. They then brought their subjects to life, by posing as them in a Living Wax Museum. Students designed a background that included key details about their figure, and memorized a quotation that is attributed to their icon, so that as visitors came to them, they could share.
