All three ensembles from Ashley King’s Upper School Music Program earned SUPERIOR ratings and high marks from the judges at this year’s SCISA Music Festival.  The choral judge was Hal McIntosh, Director of the Lexington County Choral Society and Director of Music and Creative Arts at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. He has also served on the voice faculty of Charleston Southern University and Columbia International University. Mr. McIntosh had the following to say about the FPA choral groups, “the Concert Choir was Impressive with good, strong singing, and healthy tone production.”

“The Middle School Choir’s vowel blend is excellent,” added McIntosh. “They had nice contrasting selections and great contrast in the legato and staccato sections,” The Percussion group made the judge’s day with the outfits, the buckets…everything! “The best dynamics and accents I've heard all day!”

Thank you to accompanist Mrs. Breazeale (son Conner alum Class of 2018) and drivers Mrs. Welter, Mrs. Shannon and Mrs. Goodwin.  Congratulations to all!
